From Quantum Entanglement to the Nature of Space & Time

The research interests of our group consist of both applications of string theory and the AdS/CFT duality to study strongly correlated phenomenon in QFT, as well as to the study of issues in quantum gravity. We have extensive experience in the field of AdS/CFT or holography, with a particular emphasis on applications of holography to a wide variety of strongly interacting many-body problems. From the modeling of the physics of QCD in hot and dense environments to the discovery of non-Fermi liquid in holographic theories. In the future, we will be focused on more fundamental questions relevant to the DOE high energy theory frontier, in particular to the exploration of the fundamental force of gravity in regimes where quantum mechanics plays a significant role.
